This is a trainee position with a grade level of YPT and a reference number of 2022071. The successful candidate will be based at TPT Head Office in Durban and will report to the Assistant Management Div Accountant.
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or NQF level 7 equivalent in Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, Finance or a related field. Additionally, candidates must have above-average computer skills, the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, good administration and organization skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks, the ability to conduct research, the ability to perform within an integrated team environment, good interpersonal skills, a professional attitude, a willingness to learn, and good time management.
Preference will be given to applicants who are based within the eThekwini Municipality.
The program includes a structured training program, performance reviews and assessments every 6 months, submitting monthly reports, and performing all duties as contained in his/her development program, as well as which he/she may reasonably be required to perform by Transnet Port Terminals.
