Job Description

Wits Health Consortium (Pty) Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the University of the Witwatersrand, is currently seeking nine Data Capturers for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This position is based at the Wits Vaccines & Infectious Diseases Analytics (VIDA) Research Unit, Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, with the requirement to work at various clinics around Soweto.

As a Data Capturer, you will be responsible for compiling source documentation for the collection of clinical research data and ensuring that data is entered into the system accurately and in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) principles and protocol requirements. Your key performance areas will include accurate data entry, data error checking, source document management, and providing effective and efficient communication.

To be considered for this role, you must have at least 1 year of experience in data capturing and have completed grade 12. Experience in research and working knowledge of data entry systems will be an advantage, as well as being GCP trained. You should also be competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages and have experience in office administration.
