Responsibilities:

As a Graduate P1 & P2 Trainee Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in Hitachi Energy’s business (PGGA) in Modderfontein, South Africa. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Technical Contribution: Supporting Test Engineers in product and system testing, preparing standard test records, and completing test documentation while adhering to safety standards.
2. Risk and Opportunity Management: Assisting in risk assessments to ensure safe systems of work and taking appropriate actions.
3. Processes and Tools: Utilizing standard processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
4. Site Works: Occasionally assisting commissioning engineers on-site, gaining valuable hands-on experience.
5. Safety and Integrity: Embodying Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions and prioritizing the well-being of colleagues and the business.

Your Background:

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

1. An S4 in Electrical Engineering – Heavy Current.
2. Strong written and communication skills, coupled with a positive learning attitude.
3. Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
