The incumbent will be reporting to Section Manager or any other person appointed to supervise him/her from time to time.

The main pyrpose of the role is to provide Electrical drafting services and prepare documentation for projects as well as provide other appropriate technical support.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure projects are documented within guidelines set by supervisor
• Produce efficient, high quality drawings and documentation
• Ensure tasks are completed to program
• Use office systems relevant to tasks
• Ensure appropriate technical and drawing standards and quality procedures are maintained on all projects
• Take ownership and responsibility for own work
• Bill of quantities, cable schedules
• Undertake design draughting tasks under the supervision of design engineers
• Training of more junior draughtsmen
• Prepare and produce Issue Slips using Doc Reg
• Communicate with clients, suppliers and other offices
• Assist with quantity measurements
• Assist Senior Draughtsmen and Engineers with research and innovation
• Consult directly with Engineers
• Compiling bending schedules

Requirements:
• National Diploma (Electrical Engineering or equivalent)
• Formal Qualification in draughting
• 1- 5 years drafting experience (Draughtsperson)
• At least 2 years proved experience in the use of AutoCAD and Revit for electrical Draughting
• QGIS, Relux and other relevant drafting software advantageous
• Understand the use and importance of standards in the application of software tools
