MISSION
To effectively promote a designated range of vaccines to defined customers through correct planning, organising, and targeting customers in the territory by utilising selling skills, hybrid engagement/ digital channels/ omnichannel, product knowledge and correct marketing strategies, with the final objective being to grow Sanofi Vaccines’ sales.
ENVIRONMENT
Manage contacts and customers in the territory
Operate within private market franchises.
Servicing of customers on database – PTA Central.
Calls accompanied by Sales Manager, Product Managers – Sanofi Vaccines, RSA.
LEVEL OF AUTONOMY
Plan effectively – cyclic and weekly in accordance with MI POA.
Coverage adherence – ensure that the customers visited are the ones targeted.
The covered population are compared to targeted population for each segment.
Call Plan allocation adherence objective in accordance with SFE KPI:
Measure that calls are allocated to customers according to targeting strategy (calls done / calls required).
The call allocation adherence should be 85% – 100% for A and B categories.
Customer seen at the right frequency.
Meet Omnichannel-mix call targets as set out on the incentive document and agreed upon with line manager. (Remote calls; SMS; RTE’s, etc.)
Achieve a call rate of 9 customers per day.
A quantitative objective will be set for salesforce, this indicator will help to identify deviations.
Develop Customer Remote interaction & Touch points
CHALLENGES
Deliver sales objectives as set for the territory which is being worked in.
Ensure communication of key marketing messages to customers.
Maintain excellent contacts with customers.
Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.
Continuously evaluate territory alignment.
Planning and organising CME’s (Continued Medical Education), Round tables, etc. with targeted HCP’s (Healthcare Practitioners)

Consistently deliver sales objectives. (sales vs. target)

Actively participate in team projects and Sales Conferences.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
Communicate highly technical brand information to targeted customers (e.g., medical specialists, general practitioners, nurses)
Utilise high level of vaccines knowledge and expertise in engagements to adequately impact business results is essential
Ensure call rates per day per customer types utilising multichannel engagement approaches
Effectively manage territory by means of planning, analysing, targeting and coverage of customers using a hybrid engagement model – face-to-face interactions as well as remote interactions.
Adopt the digital tools and platforms as part of the territory plan and execution, creating awareness and change management towards digitalisation amongst customers and external stakeholders
Effective execution of set marketing / sales strategies and promotion to customers during engagements .
Achieve the set standard of knowledge regarding territory, customer, product, and competitor and communicate within Sanofi Vaccines RSA through timeous weekly/monthly reports.
Manage customer database and call reports on Mobile Intelligence.
Comply with set Administration, Compliance and Ethics SOP standards.
Deliver administrative work (e.g., expenses and weekly reports, petrol reports, planners, and HCP meeting pre-approvals) on time every month.
Ensure that activities always comply with relevant legislation, ethical behaviour standards, and company policies.
Maintain a good knowledge of products and biologicals to deliver a high standard of expertise in the field of vaccines and related topics.
About You
Grade 12 (Matric) with Biology and/or Science
Medical/Commercial background. (Advantage Vaccines)
Relevant 3 year degree/diploma (Preferably Nursing/ Para-medical)
Proven sales success within the pharmaceutical industry. (Advantage Vaccines)
Minimum 2 years medical sales experience (Advantage Vaccines)
Technical and Scientific Knowledge
Customer list management.
Marketing and sales strategies.
Territory management. (Advantage – previous regional/area experience)
Sanofi Vaccines products.
Competitor activities.
Setup and host a preset number of Zoom/virtual meetings with customers, as set out on incentive document and per agreement with line manager.
Ability to effectively apply “rep as orchestrator” concept in their day-to-day activities – moving between the various channels of engagement with customers.
