In this role, you have the opportunity to develop and execute the Go-To-Market approach for assigned portfolio / categories in alignment with the Markets’ Business and overall Marketing strategy.

Responsibilities:
• Leading the Africa marketing for Personal Health | Mother & Childcare category, in all aspects of the job requirement
• Defines and implements the category marketing strategy and activity plans including strategic planning, P&Ls, NPIs and roadmaps. Orchestrates the Marketing Plan & Strategy process and secures all targets in conjunction with BM&S Leader and Sales Leader
• Champions the voice of the customer and manages a holistic customer experience in the Market across the product and services portfolio through developing local go-to-market strategies (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning, Portfolio definition, pricing, promotion and channel management) to drive profitable growth, in line with Quality & Regulatory requirements
• Analyses local insights about consumers, markets, competition and trends and input to the Business Groups.
• Handling complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires
• Champions channelization approach and constantly seeks for opportunities to ensure engaged customer portfolio, maximize potential of propositions, reaching higher visibility and opportunities instore and online, manages exclusive portfolio planning.
• Constantly engages with sales and trade teams on importance of channelization strategy and drives meetings to reach consensus.
• Leads Marketing Performance Optimization and drives continuous improvements
• Leads a 12/24-month rolling integrated consumer marketing plan, based on Consumer, Market and competitor insights (which includes the champion propositions) as input to the country business plans.
• Develops and executes 360° activity plans & campaigns that are relevant in terms of assets, media strategy, messaging and are pre-checked for go live. in cooperation with Sales, Trade Marketing and Digital Marketing. (Drives localization of global content and local content creation to ensure successful launch for new products/services/solutions in the market.)
• Plans optimal allocation of local A&P spending as input for Annual Operational Plan (AOP) cycles, Business & Marketing Strategy planning.
• Drives demand generation and ensures that business performance is being delivered according to KPIs such as yearly sales, order intake, market shares, Integral Gross Margin (IGM) through price realization in markets, A&P, Integral Sales Margin (ISM) and marketing ROI.

Requirements:
• 5 years of experience preferably in marketing, product management, or related field (Marketing fundamentals and business acumen)
• Experience in Personal health, Mother and Childcare categories, FMCG would be advantageous, as well as understanding of regulatory and quality complexities in Baby Care category
• Consumer focused mindset – skilled at campaign development and management
• Strong analytical approach – i.e. strong in Excel, database management and strategic analysis, price and P&L management
• Strong problem-solving skills. Able to find solutions to difficult or complex issues. Drives continuous improvement.
• Strong ownership and drive to deliver category expectations
• Digital Marketing understanding – drive for always learning new ways to drive success of campaigns
• Ability to build and nurture effective relationships within the matrix by developing strong cooperation with peers within the market, cross business, and cross function
• Bringing people together and aligning them around common goals
• English at business professional level.
