Job Title: Packer
Reports to (Job Title): Team Leader Production
Job Description
Operating manual and automatic strapping machine.
Packing good quality pails and cans on to pallet
Reporting any defects immediately to the Team Leader or QA Auditor
Identifying defective cans and remove them prior to packing
Ensuring that the correct packing configuration is applied
Ensuring that cost of consumables kept at minimum
Ensuring that correct packing equipment is applied
Ensuring that all health, safety and housekeeping procedures are adhered to at all times.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Grade 12.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of Can construction (advantageous)
Previous packing or sorting (advantageous)
Must have good eye sight and competent in color perception
Must be prepared to work shifts and overtime
Ability to work within a team-based environment
Must be self-motivated & quick learner
Ability to communicate well
Have the ability to perform well under pressure.
Experience:
Knowledge of Can construction (advantageous)
Previous packing or sorting (advantageous)
