Our activities include all aspects – exploration; mining; processing and blending; shipping; marketing and selling. In South Africa, we have mining operations in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Centurion, Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape.
Job Description:
We are currently seeking to employ a Work Management Planner to join our Kumba Iron Ore family. This is a key role where you will be responsible for:
Daily capture the ad-hoc work request within the SAP PM platform.
Daily run SAP Transaction to see if there are any Notifications with APD (Approved), OPN (Open) status
Daily inform accountable Supervisor to approve/cancel notification if there are Notification that is on open status more than 24 hours.
Daily covert open Notifications with APD Status to a PM Order to continue with the Planning of the Task.
Contact supervisor if not all required information is filled in correctly on notification.
Review the Task Status Report on a daily basis to assist in prioritizing the planned work and to track upcoming work
Update Work center capacity for the weeks ahead
Create or complete the required planning template
Encourage contribution of planning details from those expected to do the work and incorporate crew input into planning packages
Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful planning of work orders for completion by their required date
Plan approved work orders (Within area of responsibility) for resource provision and execution prior to required date as defined by business.
Support the Work Management process by ensuring that all required resources for Approved Work are identified on the Work Order
Promptly escalate if planned work exceed upper cost limit on work order to Supervisor, in order to get approval to go ahead with Work order.
Ensure correct cost center are specified for the work to be executed
Ensure received work orders are confirm/ partially confirmed and completed correctly on SAP/Platform in time according business requirements
Ensure all returned work orders and all other applicable documentation is filed and stored as per business requirements
Assist and participate in weekly schedule draft and formal reviews. Document all necessary information
Attend the daily foreman and artisan caucus meeting
Issue work packages and execution schedules for the following week
Ensure that the maintenance strategy and associated master data is correct and applicable to the requirements
This role is in the Engineering department on a Band 7 and reporting to the Planning and Scheduling Specialist HME
Requirements:
Grade 12/N3 N4
Trade Test Certificate
Driver’s License: Code B (Light Vehicle)
Experience:
Relevant operational experience
Relevant Planning experience
SAP experience
