Purpose of the Role:
The primary objective of the Customer Assistant role at Greenstone is to contribute to the success of the store by providing relevant and accurate information to customers. This includes resolving queries, acting as a host/hostess to visitors, managing the cash desk, and ensuring the efficiency of various store processes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Excellent Customer Service: Contribute to the company’s success through outstanding customer service.
- Information Provision: Act as a host/hostess, providing information about products and services through various channels.
- Query Resolution: Resolve customer queries and advise on business processes.
- Cash Desk Management: Manage the cash desk, assist with orders, exchanges, and refunds.
- Loyalty Program: Oversee the business’s loyalty program.
- Returns Management: Handle returned goods, liaise with relevant departments, and provide cash back on returned items.
- Transaction Recording: Record all transactions accurately.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure minimal customer complaints and maintain a high level of service reliability.
- Compliance: Adhere to till policies, internal control procedures, and ensure compliance with all processes.
- Service Efficiency: Deliver high-quality services at the welcome point, loyalty card, etc., ensuring minimal customer waiting time.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Previous retail merchandising experience.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Team player mentality.
- Customer service and retail experience will be advantageous.
- Passion for serving and engaging with people.
- Proficiency in English.
