Sibanye Stillwater is inviting Job Seekers to apply for the Bolter Operator Vacancy.
The appointee should:
Be in possession of a Grade 10 / Standard 8 / Equivalent NQF Level
Be in possession of a Bolter Operator certificate / License (Certificate of Competency)
Have experience in Production or Mining environment and basic development principles
The incumbent will be required to work shifts
The post is dependent on successful completion of the Company’s pre-employment protocol such as qualifications verification, relevant psychometric assessments and clear security clearance
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
Advantageous requirements:
Grade 12 / Standard 10 / N3 / Equivalent NQF Level
Minimum of 3 years practical experience of operating a roof bolter in a Trackless underground mining environment
Code B Drivers license
Competent A Certificate
First Aid Certificate
Key responsibilities:
Assist to do basic repairs on equipment
Bolter operators are responsible for the operation of a Bolter, for drilling and installation of ground support
Achieve production targets through safe and effective operation of the Bolter
Comply with company’s standards, policies, procedure and safety initiatives
Effective self management in alignment with Sibanye Stillwater values
Ensure effective utilization of equipment
Perform all duties related to the position
