Job Description:

Role Purpose: The Assistant Storekeeper plays a crucial role in managing the inflow and outflow of stock at the Distribution Facility, ensuring accurate stock levels are maintained in the system.

Main Outputs:

  • Receiving and issuing stock physically and in the system.
  • Striving to achieve 100% stock accuracy and taking accountability for stock movements.
  • Following up on outstanding purchase orders and deliveries.
  • Maintaining proper housekeeping and safe stacking procedures.
  • Ensuring bin locations are named accordingly and stock sheets are updated.
  • Sourcing replacement items for obsolete products and ensuring compliance with materials management policies and procedures.
  • Performing quarterly stock takes and filing issues and receipt slips.
  • Undertaking other related assignments or duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements / Knowledge / Skills / Experience:


  • Certificate in Administration or Customer Service.
  • Matric (Senior Certificate).
  • Code B Driver’s license (an added advantage).
  • 2 years of experience in a store environment.
  • Customer Service training and administration.
  • Proficiency in SAP R/3, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
