Job Description

Become a Process Operator in Fine Chemicals Production at Aspen Epping. 10 Positions.

In this article, we will discuss the job requirements, basic job functions, and personal attributes needed to become a Process Operator in the Fine Chemicals Production Department.

Job Requirements:
Minimum educational qualification of Matric/Grade 12 with mathematics and Science/Biology with a pass in both instances and/or equivalent qualification asper national qualification framework levels – SAQA.
Must have an aptitude for process understanding and work with your hands
Must have the ability to be trained and be in good health
Must be willing to go on formal Chemical Operator training
Previous operator experience in a manufacturing plant would be advantageous but not a requirement.
Be able to form part of the emergency response team (i.e., firefighter, first aider, evacuation warden or H&S representative)
Basic Job Functions:

Understand and comply with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Become conversant in the operation of production equipment/machines according to set procedures and work instructions.
Follow instructions as guided by either Team Leader or Supervisor.
Perform regular housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and healthy work environment according to current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) requirements.
Understand and comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental procedures whilst performing duties.
Participate in driving production performance (KPIs)
Drive operational excellence in production
Responsible for running the manufacturing process center in line with cGMP and Quality Management Systems (QMS)

Personal Attributes:
Good communication skills
Ability to work and perform under pressure in a highly regulated environment
Numerate and show attention for accuracy
Must be of sober habits and be willing to work shifts and overtime as operationally required
