This apprenticeship is focused on our Distribution Business Segment, specifically in the SERVICE domain. Key Responsibilities:

As an Apprentice at Cummins, you will have the chance to:

1. Attain a Nationally Recognized Cummins Diesel Fitter Qualification: Benefit from a structured program designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in the field.
2. Practical Experience: Work under the supervision of a qualified Cummins Technician, gaining hands-on experience in the diagnosis and repair of Cummins engines and products.
3. Problem Solving: Bring your enquiring mind to resolve common technical engine problems, contributing your enthusiasm and determination to the role.
4. Multi-functional Training: Receive structured on-the-job training that covers a range of activities, including disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, troubleshooting, and reassembling engines.

Key Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Minimum Qualification: Matric and Technical N2 or N3 (Mathematics, Engineering Science, Engineering Drawings, and Diesel Trade Theory/Motor Trade Theory) OR Technical N4 (Mathematics, Engineering Science, Mechanical Draughting, and Mechanothechnics).
• Teamwork: The ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively to ensure a clear understanding.
• Focus on Health, Safety & Environment: Strong awareness and commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
