Description
To receive and prepare all samples delivered to the Laboratory according to prescribed sample preparation procedures.
Requirements:

BUSINESS PROCESSES
Physical receiving of samples
Drying, crushing, riffling and milling of samples as per SOP’s
Logging and receiving of samples on LIMS
Marking and labelling of sample tags and sample containers
Storing of samples according to specifications and colour codes
Disposal of redundant samples
Perform sieve analyses on samples
Perform moisture analyses on samples
Prepare pressed sample discs for XRF analysis
Cleaning of the workplace to ensure that sample contamination does not take place and that the sample preparation process can be completed in a professional and scientific manner
Adherence to Quality Assurance protocols

Verify and operate in all sample preparation equipment
Inspection of sample preparation equipment and reporting of defects
