Responsibilities:
• Managing the costs of production (actual and forecast) in line with Group guidelines
• Analysis of actual and forecasted expenses on-going
• Running BMR meetings to control flow of batches
• Daily tracking of production and operational performances, including but not limited to production volumes, production value, value add, material price variances, scrap and usage (Yield), expenses and revenue.
• Controlling, tracking and reporting of Capital Expenditure
• Manage the Product BOM costing and annual price restatement
• Provide recommended product selling prices based on product costing
• Track and validate daily production orders.
• Preparation of bridges and support for presentations
• Complete the Controlling activities for month end close and assist with the month end close in general where required.
• Ensure that required standard and ad-hoc month end reports for local management and international teams are prepared and provided for within specified timeframes.
• Presentation of financial results to management and regional role-players
BUDGETS AND FORECASTS:
• Prepare annual budgeting and quarterly forecasts
• Preparation of sales and production volumes
• Preparation and presentation of Business Review Pack
SPECIAL TASKS:
• DEBIT analysis – production and recovery related projections
• Budget COP calculation
• Capacity calculations – EBIT analysis
• Ad hoc scenarios for Plant Manager, Finance Manager and Group and Region Finance
• Direct contact for Region Controller
Budget and Cost Control
• Control and optimise the cost within the department
• Set quality and performance KPI’s for the department and monitor the departmental performance on a defined frequency
• Continuously improve processes to introduce World Class Manufacturing practices within the business
• Identify opportunities for productivity and efficiency improvements
• From time to time carry out other jobs within the department / factory, which are consistent with the grade, qualification and training of the incumbent
• Budget outlook and restatement
Requirements:
• Ability to draft and enforce compliance to relevant internal controls and SOP’s
• Ability to present financial results to others, including group context
• Ability to interpret production and operational performance
• Ability to prepare annual budget
• Good understanding of product costing, BOM’s, price variances, and standard vs. actual costs
• EBIT analysis – production and recovery related projections
• Budget COP calculation
• Capacity calculations – EBIT analysis
• Understand requirements for Business Review Pack
• MS Excel advanced
• SAP proficiency
Necessary qualifications and experiences requirement:
• CA (SA) or CIMA with major in Management Accounting
• At least 5 years in a Controlling function in a manufacturing environment
• Team management experience of at least three years
