To operate all heavy plant within Durban Solid Waste fleet.
Responsibilities:
• Operating various items of heavy plant such as Landfill Compactor, Bull Dozer, Hydraulic
• Excavator, Front-end loaders, Vibratory roller, Grader, Articulated dump/ dump trucks, Service
• truck and Water Tanker.
• Operate the heavy plant in the right direction and angles to ensure efficient operation and
• prevent accidents and damage of property.
• Recording daily work output, hour meter/ odometer readings by completion of relevant
• production sheets.
• Representing management at disciplinary hearings by acting as witness.
• Mentor for employees in training/ new employees in the safe and efficient operation of
• construction equipment.
Requirements:
• Matric/Grade 12.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license (Code EC).
• Valid permit in operation of heavy duty.
• 12 Months relevant experience.
