This position has become available for a Maintenance Assistant at our Kempton Park Research Farm, reporting to the Farm Manager. The purpose of this role is to maintain all Vehicles, buildings, structures and installations on the premises in good order and condition in order to convey a favourable image of the Company to its customers and to create a pleasant working environment for its personnel.
Responsibilities:
1. Upkeep and repair of buildings/structures
All aspects of general repair and maintenance on an ongoing basis of the following:
• Buildings and walls,.
• Structures and fittings, including shop fittings.
• Fencing and other enclosures.
• Display installations.
• Drainage and sewerage systems.
• Surface of car park and other working areas.
2. Upkeep and repair of irrigation system and water supply
• Maintains water reticulation system
Requirements:
• Qualifications: Matric – National Senior Certificate – Grade 12 (Essential)
• Training: General Repair and Maintenance (Essential)
• Building and Construction (Essential)
• Experience: Handyman – 3 years (Essential)
