Joins us as Surface Front End Loader/ Excavator Operator to operate one or more types of heavy equipment used in quarry operations to excavate, move, and grade earth or to scoop, lift and transport rock, sand and gravel to and from storage or processing areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers, chutes, or trucks.

Job Description:
In this role your responsibilities will include the following activities;
• Compiling accurate shift reports.
• Escalate abnormal operations problems to appropriate Engineer or manager.
• Respond to standard hauling signals.
• Assist during breakdowns or emergencies.
• Help engineering employees to maintain equipment in the winder area.
• Ensuring safe and reliable workmanship.
• Adhering to all safety, emergency and first aid procedures.
• Interacting with other teams and systems.
• Maintaining own safe and productive workplace.
• Advising defects and abnormalities to appropriate Engineer or manager.
• Ensure teamwork expectations and plans are clear.
This role is a B1 level reporting to the Coordinator Engineering
Requirements:
• Minimum of Standard 8/Grade 10 (ABET 4)
• Excavator Certificate/ Front End-Loader Certificate
Experience:
• Experience of at least 3 years as heavy equipment Operator
• Mining experience will be an added advantage
Additional information
• Must be able to do standby and overtime
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• If successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Test
