The main purpose of this position is to manage the inventory management process of the consumables and commodities life cycle within the hospitality services function of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).
Responsibilities:
• Plan work for self and others to ensure that work allocated is completed within set times and according to defined standards.
• Coordinate and guide the task execution and delivery within the Inventory Section (administration of the inventory management process throughout the consumables life cycle) within the hospitality services function of the SARB.
• Facilitate the procurement of hospitality commodities and services within the Hospitality Services.
• Provide input into forecasting the spend within the inventory area.
• Plan, coordinate and facilitate stocktake and manage stock levels to minimise stock holdings.
• Supervise adherence to food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with relevant standards and legislation.
• Stay current with developments within the hospitality industry and advise on new products in the market.
• Identify and propose improvements to methods, practices, procedures and processes.
• Lead engagements with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
• Compile and provide inventory-related reports to the manager.
• Manage the performance and development of team members.
• Manage the payment process of supplier invoices.
• Participate in the sourcing of new suppliers.
Requirements:
• National Diploma (NQF6) in Supply Chain Management or an equivalent qualification; and
• 5-7 years’ experience in inventory management in the hospitality environment
