Responsibilities:
• Execute control of admission by positive identification of staff members, visitors, and Contractors before they allowed to enter the premises.
• Issue admission control cards /permit to visitors, contractors and receive them back.
• Complete the necessary register for visitors and contractors.
• Escort contractors, visitors, cash-in transit, and assets where necessary.
• Check suppliers, articles, and objects, where necessary, before they are allowed to be brought into premises to ensure the security and safety of the premises will not be threatened.
• Conduct electronic examination either by x-ray machine or mental detector, spot checks and searches to ensure crime prevention and loss control.
• Bring any deficiencies or problems with regard to security matters to the attention of Shift leaders and /or Senior Security personnel.
• Security systems monitoring and testing.
• Security services center /telephonic duties.
• Programming, issuing, enabling disabling and receiving of access control cards.
• Attend to security requests and complaints.
• Control of all security registers.
• Activate emergency procedures in case of emergency.
• Carry out reception duties and ad hoc tasks as requested.
• Ensure movement control of vehicle, assets, and pedestrians.
• Patrol of buildings, offices, and the perimeter.
• Inspection – security and fire risks.
• Check all security equipment and facilities and take action where necessary.
• Carry out special assignments including events security and VIP protection.
• Working all shifts as per the duty roster.
• Lock and unlock offices where necessary.
Requirements:
• NQF 4 (Matric or Grade 12) qualification.
• Grade ‘C’ PSIRA registration.
• Certification in OHS Act
• Certification in Check point training.
• Relevant 1 years’ experience in Security environment.
